Designed to sit before the handoff
GridPermit is not positioning this layer as a replacement for permit designers, engineers, AHJs, utilities or execution partners. The goal is to improve the decision immediately before the handoff: classify the route, collect the missing facts, show the official evidence, then send the project to the right workflow.
Ingest project context
Address, jurisdiction context, utility, system design and current project milestone where available.
Ask only what is missing
Battery/storage, existing system, MPU/service changes, mount type, revised equipment and other decision facts.
Return a decision card
Approval path, known unknowns, first-party sources, verification date, missing requirement and next responsible authority.
Route execution
Continue into the platform's existing permit, engineering, interconnection, inspection or PTO workflow.
What we will not pretend to know
Integration pilot
A useful first pilot is small: take a set of projects that are off the normal path, compare GridPermit's classification against the partner's existing manual research, and measure whether the decision layer reduces incomplete routing and time spent determining who owns the next action.
