Renewable Energy Growth (REG) Program
Statewide production-based incentive (PBI) for net-metered residential solar PV: a fixed 15-20 year contract paying a fixed price per kWh for all electricity produced by the system (not just excess exported), with credits applied to the customer's bill up to the amount owed and any excess compensated via direct deposit. Per Rhode Island Commerce's own page (which cites the RI Office of Energy Resources' REG program page), the ceiling price for the current program year is either 33.85 or 32.35 cents/kWh, depending on project size and contract term. Cannot be paired/stacked with the separate Renewable Energy Fund (REF) grant program administered by RI Commerce.
