Inspection steps
- Request a building inspection via the inspection hotline (619-628-1360), the Citizen Self-Service (CSS) portal, or email
- Inspections are conducted 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday (no inspections on Fridays)
- Staff will contact the applicant on the morning of the inspection with a detailed time frame
- California-licensed contractors, architects, or engineers may qualify to self-certify select minor residential permits without a Building Division inspection, per the City's Building Self-Certification Program
